Yoav Nagar, D.C., CCSP

Yoav Nagar, D.C., CCSP graduated cum laude from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 1997. He continued his post-graduate studies and became certified as a specialist in the prevention and treatment of sports injuries. As he developed and grew his practice, Dr. Nagar noted that most of his patients came to him with a common complaint: they were forced to return to other doctors for multiple visits and repeat adjustments, none of which truly alleviated their pain for a substantial period of time. In contrast, Dr. Nagar wanted to create a system that would shift the focus of patient care to rehabilitation – in essence, to locate and address the weakness that creates instability in the body. “Traditional rehabilitation focuses on movement within a single plane. Our rehabilitation techniques, in contrast, offers an effective method of restructuring and rebalancing the body and incorporates movement in three planes that teach the body to work as a single unit,” explains Dr. Nagar. “This is a much more functional approach to rehabilitation.”

Dr. Nagar’s technique blends several different philosophies to create a system that is highly effective in providing patients with long-term pain relief and improved health, but the short-term benefits are also easy to observe. Most patients enjoy dramatic improvement in as little as six weeks.

One of Dr. Nagar’s method of rehabilitation offered at the clinic is DNS. Dr. Nagar has been studying DNS under the world renowned professor from Prague named pavel kolar. Prof. Kolar revolutionary technique is based on the brain’s genetic information of developmental kinesiology. Dr. nagar has been following Prof. Kolar for the past nine years both in the US and in Prague.

Besides DNS, Dr. Nagar is a certified provider of Active Release technique. Graston technique, SFMA and Certified in kinesiotaping.

Dr. Nagar plays an active role in overseeing the practice daily operation. He continues to hone and refine his techniques while still seeing patients regularly. He is a member of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians and the author of several articles on Pilates training techniques.

Orit Bornstein, PT

I had been a licensed Physical Therapist for over 28 years — the last 17 years having been focused on pediatric patients — when I found myself staring at a flyer listing the upcoming classes offered by The Upledger Institute. Being on a quest to enhance my traditional skills with some alternative knowledge and techniques for a while, I registered for the first Upledger Institute course in 2004 and never looked back. Training in and practicing CranioSacral Therapy have changed both my professional and personal life. Ive become much more passionate about my work and my journey in general, and have found more love and balance in my life. The work is subtle and gentle, yet profound in its outcome. The light touch of CST aides to release restrictions from the fascia and musculoskeletal systems of the body, which improves the function and mobility of the central nervous system. Since all body functions are managed by the central nervous system, optimizing it enables the body to reestablish homeostasis, self correct and begin a healing process. Immediate benefits include: profound relaxation, stress reduction, pain relief, improved motor coordination, strengthened immune system, improved sleep and many more. CranioSacral Therapy is very beneficial for babies and children, balancing their central nervous system so they have a better chance to develop to their full potential. Benefits include: relief from colic and vomiting, improved motor development, improved body alignment and symmetry, relaxed over-exited nervous system, balanced sensory systems, improved digestion and evacuation, improved sleep patterns and many more. Working with my patients, whether they are infants or adults, I find myself as empowered as I am empowering. Come in and allow your body to tap into its own healing power and find its balance. CST can help you get in touch with your inner wisdom, which holds the keys to your well being and vitality. Allow me to support and facilitate your process by holding a safe space for you. It is always an excellent time to embark on a healing path, and there is no time outside of now.

My Skills
I have extensive experience as a physical therapist working with babies and young children with a wide variety of problems. My experience also includes adults with orthopedic and neurological problems, and geriatric patients. My skills include CranioSacral and Somato Emotional Release therapy. I serve the Upledger Institute as a teaching assistant helping to train other practitioners, and I continuously take more advanced classes to improve my skills. In addition I am a Reiki Master, a Munay-Ki rite giver (www.munay-ki.org)and a student at the Light Body School of The Four Winds Society (http://www.thefourwinds.com). Utilizing both the Reiki and the Shamanic energies enhance all the work I do on many levels. My patients range from infants to mature adults.
